The 2025/26 Premier League season will kick off this Friday, August 15, with the opening match between Liverpool and Bournemouth at 8 PM!
Among the major European leagues, the English Championship is by far the one with the most Brazilian players: 35, according to Transfermarkt.
To give you an idea, in La Liga, another championship with strong ties to Brazilian players, there are “only” 10.
This number, however, can still change for better or worse, as the summer transfer window remains open.
Ederson, for example, might be leaving Man City for Galatasaray, while Antony is training separately at rival United, waiting for offers.
Among the 20 teams that will compete in the 2025/26 Premier League, only three do not have Brazilian players in their squads: Aston Villa, Everton, and Sunderland.
If the quartet doesn’t have any “Joga Bonito,” as foreigners refer to Brazilian football, Nottingham Forest is the opposite, boasting 5 Brazilians!
