🗞️ Record-breaking Spain near World Cup, today’s front pages
Add it up and move on. Yesterday, the Spanish national team added another victory against Bulgaria, equaling the unbeaten record achieved by the national team between 2010 and 2013, and thus putting themselves on the verge of qualifying for the World Cup.
A triple success for a Spanish team which continues to conquer the public. Mikel Merino headers, an Oyarzábal penalty and a Bulgarian own goal put the finishing touches on a celebration at the José Zorrilla.
With these prospects, Spain is just one step away from mathematically qualifying for the World Cup. A victory against Georgia would give a ticket to the United States, Canada and Mexico. A situation which, this Wednesday, made the headlines of the vast majority of newspapers.
