1 person was killed and others injured in a fireworks explosion at Mohamed Ramadan concert in Egypt

One person was killed and others were injured in a dysfunction of a fireworks display during a concert by Mohamed Ramadan on Thursday in a seaside resort on the north coast of Egypt.
A cartridge of fireworks exploded when Ramadan went on stage at the Porto Marina Theater, killing a member of the technical team responsible for the exploitation of fireworks, according to the semi-official newspaper of Egypt Al Ahram. The incident also injured at least six people, according to the English counterpart of the exit.
Ramadan, an Egyptian actor and musician, published a video on his Instagram on the incident, extending his condolences to the relatives of a victim whom he called “Hospals”. Al Ahram identified the victim as Hospals Abdel Moneim, a 24 -year -old graduate of Ain Shams University who worked in the planning of parties and special effects for more than a decade.
“I present my condolences to the Hoy family, may God have mercy on him and give him a place in his spacious paradise,” said Ramadan in the video. “And give patience to his loved ones and friends, and heal those who were injured.”
Ramadan said he had stopped the concert immediately after seeing what had happened.
“I managed it like any human, I went down to the public and I helped hurt myself at the ambulance,” he said. “And I stopped the concert and helped to guide people so that their departure does not cause any crowd or additional accidents.”
Ramadan did not identify the victim beyond a first name, but alluded in his declaration that the victim worked during the concert.
Videos depicting the incident began to circulate on social networks shortly after. A video shows that Ramadan occurs while an explosion takes place near the scene. A few seconds later, Ramadan can be heard “Stop, stop, stop!” Before the music stops.
Another video shows people carrying the body of a man who seems injured or deceased. Ramadan, which can be seen on stage, is heard in the microphone, asking them to bring the body on stage.
The incident is under investigation by public prosecution of Egypt, according to Al Ahram.
Ramadan has obtained international recognition in recent years, publishing songs with French, Future and Gims Montana. His song “Rayheen Neshar – Bum Bum” began to become viral on Tiktok in 2020, and he played at the Coachella Valley Festival this year.
The artist posted on his Instagram that he will perform on Friday in another place on the north coast of Egypt.
