It recently released projections showing which jobs are expected to grow the most over the next decade, concluding that the healthcare sector will see the biggest expansion. “Employment growth in this sector is expected to be driven primarily by both the aging population and the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes,” the BLS wrote in the report.
And while the AI boom triggers some job losses, the BLS projects that “demand for artificial intelligence-based systems, data processing, software development, research services, and related consulting services is expected to drive the need for workers in the professional, scientific, and technical services sector and the information sector.”
