Edgar Berlanga, Richardson Hitchins sign with Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing

Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing has made two more key additions to its growing roster of American talent.
The promotional company announced Wednesday that it has signed multi-fight promotional contracts with former title challenger Edgar Berlanga and IBF welterweight champion Richardson Hitchins.

Berlanga and Hitchins are the latest names to join a stable that also includes British superstar Conor Benn and former IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia.
Berlanga (23-2, 18 KOs) unsuccessfully challenged Saul “Canelo” Alvarez for the undisputed super middleweight title in September 2024. The Nuyorican returned to winning ways with a first-round TKO victory over Jonathan Gonzalez-Ortiz in March 2025, but was then stopped by Hamzah Sheeraz last July.
Hitchins (20-0, 8 KOs) is the reigning IBF welterweight champion. The American won the title with a unanimous decision win over Liam Paro in December 2024, then beat another Australian, George Kambosos Jr., in his only title defense last June.

Hitchins was scheduled to face Oscar Duarte on the February 21 Ryan Garcia vs. Mario Barrios card, but was forced to withdraw from the fight on the day it was scheduled to take place due to illness.
The fight with Duarte will not be rescheduled as the IBF has ordered Hitchins to next face his mandatory challenger, Lindolfo Delgado. The IBF informed Uncrowned this week that negotiations were underway between the two men.
Both Berlanga and Hitchins will make their Zuffa Boxing debut this summer, according to a press release.
