Left-Wing Politicians and ‘Journalists’ Go Insane Over Don Lemon Arrest, but the Receipts Loom Large – RedState
Don Lemon quickly discovers that the consequences apply under the Trump administration. As RedState reported, the self-proclaimed “journalist” was arrested for allegedly storming a church, harassing worshipers and refusing to leave when the pastor asked him to.

Videos posted by Lemon showed him appearing to coordinate with a crowd of anti-ICE activists, most with prior ties to Black Lives Matter, to enter the church in question. After the assault, Lemon “interviewed” the pastor, who directly asked him to leave the building. Instead, the former CNN host continued to wander around and harass terrified worshipers for at least eight more minutes while activists continued to deprive them of their right to worship.

Initially, a magistrate judge refused to sign an arrest warrant for Lemon. An appeals court then found “probable and clear cause,” but opted to send the case back to the agenda to let the process play out further. Well, it continued and Lemon now faces federal charges. Naturally, this meant a complete collapse among left-wing politicians and “journalists”.
Katherine Jacobsen of the Committee to Protect Journalists reacted to Don Lemon’s arrest: “As an international organization, we know that the treatment of journalists is an indicator of the state of a country’s democracy. The United States is doing poorly.”

Arresting a journalist is a blatant attempt at intimidation and another indicator of Trump’s authoritarianism. This goes against the most fundamental American values set forth in the First Amendment.

To provide some clarity, no one has a “First Amendment” right to deprive others of their rights by storming private property, harassing people in a place of worship, and then refusing to leave immediately when asked. It’s not a thing, no matter how many fake credentials you claim along the way. Being a “journalist” does not confer complete immunity from the law.
In fact, the left has spent the last decade assuring everyone that person is above the law.

What they really meant was that “no one is above the law except Democratic politicians and left-wing journalists.” Well, that’s just a standard that they could maintain if they won the last election, which they failed to do. This means the new rules are in effect and any deference that once existed has exploded. by them. Now that they hold power, the Republicans are not going to live by a blatant double standard, which the left has become accustomed to using as a weapon.
Leftists have gotten really used to being able to imprison their opponents while threatening to imprison more of their opponents in order to avoid accountability for the crimes they commit.

We no longer worry about threats like the ones above. The glass was already broken, and the “no one is above the law” proponents cannot put it back together at the moment it inconveniences them. There is ample video evidence showing that Lemon knew of and participated in the planned attack. He did not stay outside to report the incident. He entered the building, allegedly played a direct role in the blatant disenfranchisement, refused to leave when asked, and then bought coffee and nuts from the activists after the event was over.
If this were a mosque or an abortion clinic invaded by right-wingers, the book would have been thrown at them. How do I know? Because that’s what the Biden administration did, using the FACE Act to go after pro-life protesters whose biggest escalation was standing on the sidewalks.
That said, will a blue state judge or jury ultimately let Lemon off the hook? I don’t know, but you can’t base the application on whether political bias might work in favor of the defendant. Again, as we have all been told, no one is above the law.
