Tyler Loop drills 5 field goals, then named Ravens’ kicker

The Baltimore Ravens recruit, Tyler Loop, is officially the successor to Justin Tucker.
“He will be the botter,” said Ravens coach John Harbaugh, after the victory of pre-season 31-13 on Saturday evening against the Cowboys in Dallas. “He won it.”
Harbaugh’s announcement came after an impressive performance by Loop. He scored 5 of the 6 goals on the field on Saturday, including those of 51 and 53 yards.
When he was told that Harbaugh had named him the Ravens botter, Loop told journalists in Dallas: “It’s fun.”
The Ravens selected Loop in the sixth round this year, which makes him the first botter to be written in the 30th anniversary of the franchise. Nine days later, Baltimore cut Tucker, who was investigated by the NFL at the time for sexual misconduct. Tucker, the most specific botter in the history of the NFL, has since received a 10 -week suspension by the League for having violated personal conduct policy.
Loop won the Ravens during spring training sessions and training camp with his strong leg and coherence. Baltimore cut the unpalled recruit fellow John Hoyland on August 2, which made Loop the only bootter on the list. A day later, Loop crushed a goal in the field of 60 yards during a practice at M&T Bank Stadium.
But Harbaugh refused to appoint Loop the team’s botter at that time, saying that the work would be decided by what Loop did during pre-season matches. It is 6 out of 8 in pre-season, disappeared from 46 and 50 yards.
“He will have another chance of coming back next week and kicking a little more and continuing to improve,” said Harbaugh. “But I just like the fact that he wants to do them all, but he had a good night.”
