The Ridiculously Thin Galaxy Z Flip 7 Is Sturdy AF. Ask Me How I Know
If you are concerned about the sustainability of Samsung foldable phones, I’m here to tell you not to worry. And this is particularly true with regard to the new Galaxy Z Flip 7, which is one of the best smartphones today.
After less than six hours with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, I accidentally carried out my own informal fall test. During a case treated in Brooklyn, I went out to have a view of the seafront, and when I removed the Z Flip 7 from my pocket, I groped it. I watched the new foldable phone from Samsung to fall on the ground. At the start of foldable phones, one of the biggest unknowns was their durability. It is surprising that around six years later, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could manage concrete as it had landed on a velvet pillow. Now, I still don’t take the Flip 7 (or no foldable phone) on the beach, because it can only withstand particles of 1 mm or more. So going to a confetti factory would be good, but a salt factory is a non-no.

The large cover screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 7
Here are three Galaxy Z Flip 7 phones in different colors.
The original Galaxy Z Flip had a tiny display of a 1.1 inch pill -shaped cover. It was perfect for showing time but almost useless for something else. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 Definition function is its 4.1 -inch cover screen. The screen looks incredible. I checked my notifications on the screen under direct sunlight and I was able to read everything. One of the hunges that I reviewed the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was to go from the interior screen to the display of the blanket outside. There would be times on sunny days when I could barely distinguish what was on the cover screen, despite no problem with the main screen.
Samsung has increased the maximum brightness of the Flip 7 to 2,600 Nits cover screen, which is the same as the interior screen. The two screens are now in the lead at 120 Hz also, which should make a much more consistent experience by having system animations, a gameplay and by scrolling a social flow with a very fluid appearance.
The 6.9 -inch interior screen is large, but it doesn’t seem difficult to handle when I use it. The Flip 6 had a 6.7 -inch screen, but this 0.2 inch supplement on the Flip 7 screen makes it much larger, which my average age eyes are grateful.
In terms of features, the natural condition of the cover screen is widgets. And some, like Spotify widget, are all that I need instead of using full applications. But I want applications on the home screen, so I have to activate this feature in the Labs section of the settings and download the Multistar application. It takes a few minutes for the configuration, but I want the applications supported by the default interface.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 cameras
The Z Flip 7 has a 50 megapixel camera with a wide angle lens and a 12 megapixel ultrawid camera in its cover screen.
The Flip 7 has three cameras: a wide angle of 50 megapixels, an ultra-refaction of 12 megapixels and a 10 megapixel selfie camera (in the main 6.9 inch screen). The cameras are the same as those of Flip 6 and Flip 7 Fe. But phones operate on different processors, so differences or improvements in photos and videos (if applicable) will come from Samsung automatic processing and learning.

I am a fan of ultrairs cameras, and this shot that I took with Flip 7 is an example why. I like the way in which Samsung’s ultraid objective distorts and exaggerates the subject and makes it more dramatic.

These two photos come from the main camera. The one on the left was lit only by the sign, behind me. And the one on the right captures the texture and details of the large gelato cone.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 final reflections for the moment
The hinge on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is almost 30% smaller compared to that of Galaxy Z Flip 6 from last year.
Samsung gave its foldable line a major overhaul. And while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 looks like a completely different phone from previous folds, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 seems to be a good refinement. I would say that I only had two days with the phone. And also in love that I am with the largest cover screen, I am delighted to see how the battery life measurements measure.
Samsung gave the Flip 7 battery a 4,300 mAh battery (compared to the battery of 4,000 mAh of Galaxy Z Flip 6), but I wonder if the increase in capacity will be offset by the necessary power for its Exynos 2500 chip and these larger and more shiny screens.
I have many more tests to do. But while I head for a complete criticism, I will try to drop the flip 7 anymore.
