The next day, she sent Epstein a link to a Commentary article about Trump’s election and the U.S. economy. “Good article to see for Trump,” she wrote.

On March 4, Melanie sent a message to Epstein. “BG meets with W Trump on Mar 20, 21,” in apparent reference to Gates. (Gates did meet with Trump at the White House on March 20, 2017. Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, said the meeting was aimed at combating disease outbreaks around the world.)

“A waste of time,” Epstein replied. “he should meet the barracks,” in an apparent reference once again to the current American ambassador to Türkiye.

On March 6, Epstein and Melanie continued to send messages about Trump and Gates.

“Israel – tell Bill Paris the week of the 21st,” Epstein wrote, apparently referring to a supposed peace meeting regarding the situation in the Middle East.

“A peace meeting? W Jared and Tony Blair and all those people? I’m not sure they are interested in the peace process, mainly in technology,” Melanie replied. “He says he talks to Jared a lot.”

“No boring, never-happening peace. GROW UP,” Epstein responded.

(Although there does not appear to have been a peace meeting in Paris in March 2017, on March 10, a few days after these messages were sent, Trump had his first-ever phone call with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and invited him to visit the White House.)

In their March 6 messages, Melanie reminded Epstein that the meeting would take place between Gates and Trump later that month.

Epstein then appeared to claim that a meeting was taking place at his home to discuss a myriad of issues related to Israel, including, he said in a message to Melanie, “Money monitoring, trespassing. It’s my home so I know it.” It is not known whether the meeting took place, nor who attended if it took place.

“Oh my God, INVITE ME,” writes Melanie. “May try to invite bg based on guest list etc – Larry told him he couldn’t have contact with you so would have to handle this carefully.” (This is an apparent reference to longtime Gates associate Larry Cohen. Cohen is the CEO of Gates Ventures and did not respond to a request for comment.)

“This is not a problem for me,” Epstein writes. “I like Bill. He gets more from me than I get from him. He should grow some balls and start loving.”
