‘Why Are You Gay?’ Elon Musk Rages at Trump Sec. Sean Duffy

Former Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE) showrunner Elon Musk angry at Trump’s Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy Tuesday, accusing him of “trying to kill NASA” in a series of angry tweets featuring a derogatory nickname.

Musk and Duffy had previously argued over Musk’s DOGE efforts.

“I think it might not have been intentional, it might have been clumsy [like] some of the requests made by [the Department of Government Efficiency]but my position was: we’re not going to lay off air traffic controllers,” Duffy said. The New York PostIt is Miranda Devine earlier this year. “Safety-critical positions will not be made redundant within the Department of Transportation. We can do things more efficiently… but we are not going to make air traffic controllers redundant. So we have had some discussions, [but] we got along very well afterwards. I think the newspapers made it a bigger deal than it was.

Hostilities resumed Monday, however, when Duffy told CNBC that Musk’s SpaceX was “behind” the administration’s timetable for returning to the Moon and that he was going to allow other companies to compete for the government contract to do so.

“We’re not going to wait for just one company,” said Duffy, who is also acting NASA administrator. “We’re going to go ahead and win the second space race against the Chinese. Go back to the Moon, set up a camp, a base.”

Duffy even shared a tweet amplifying his comments.

Musk did not appreciate Duffy’s remarks.

First, he responded to Duffy’s tweet with a GIF of a famous exchange in which an African presenter asked a guest: “Why are you gay?”

Then he took a photo of Blue Origin, SpaceX’s company. Jeff Bezos– owned rival.

And on Tuesday, he continued his volley of attacks, calling Duffy “Sean Dummy,” accusing him of trying to “kill NASA” and arguing that “the person in charge of America’s space program can’t have a 2-digit IQ.”
