21-year-old welcomed home from Israel as Israel-Iran ceasefire takes effect

Representative John McGuire, R-VA., Welcomed Seth McCready, 21, the house of Israel this week, while the State Department has published a security alert for American citizens traveling in the world and the conflict between Israel and Iran raged.
McCREADY spoke to Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview at Washington International Airport Dulles on Tuesday after his trip from Israel to Egypt before taking his last flight.
The native of Virginia was welcomed by his father and two brothers at the Gate International Arrivals, all wearing big smiles and kissing while their Congress member stood next to the red, white and blue balloons and an American flag which was transported by the American Capitol.
“God protected me and the people I was with, and he also protects Israel,” said McCready. “I believe 100% that Israel will pass, no problem.”

The McGuire office was in constant contact with McCready during his trip of several days from Israel, according to the young American.

When the Jewish state launched its first attacks on Iran, which President Donald Trump called “12 -day war”, McCready visited his family in Israel. He told Fox News Digital that he had then been able to volunteer with a group of ministries, prepare rooms and even deliver food to those who needed it as strikes continued.
“We had some impacts. There was one that was like a kilometer of me, and the whole building trembled,” said McCready, describing a strike that slipped through the defenses of Israel.
McGuire, who joined McCready’s family to welcome him at home on Tuesday, said: “I am so happy for his family. You can’t always help someone, but when you can, it’s the best part of this work.”

The Virginia first -year Congress member said that he had worked with the State Department to secure the way to McCready. McCready and McGuire thanked its political director, Ramona Christian, for her vital role in obtaining McCready Home.
“It’s just a great team effort, and it is the second young person that we helped to get home in a week. And now we have some other people who contacted our office, and we hope to help them,” McGuire told Fox News Digital in an interview.
McGuire celebrated McCready’s return while the fragile cease-fire agreement between Iran and Israel had just started.
Questions have remained whether the ceasefire that would hold when Trump announced on Monday evening that “it was fully agreed and between Israel and Iran that there will be a complete and total cease-fire”.

Trump said the United States has managed to succeed in three nuclear sites in Iran on Saturday evening, but questions remain on Capitol Hill as for the measurement that strikes remove the Iran nuclear program.
McGuire, a Loyalist of Trump who obtained his approval in 2024, said that “Iran’s ability to project power had been considerably reduced”.
“We had an imminent threat of a nuclear weapon in Iran, and we just couldn’t have it,” added McGuire. “This threat was eliminated.”
Israel had launched a series of coordinated attacks on Iran on June 13, against which Iran retaliated, which prompted countries to exchange strikes for 12 days. After the United States struck Iran, the Islamic Republic has launched reprisal attacks against an American air base in Qatar.

But McGuire said it was “very full of hope” that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran will hold and that there will be peace in the Middle East.
