South Florida will experience one more day of summer-like heat before an Arctic air mass arrives Monday, bringing the coldest conditions of the season so far.

The National Weather Service’s (NWS) Miami office said the weekend marks a “temperature rollercoaster” for the region, with above-average heat returning to Naples and Collier County on Sunday.

Highs are forecast in the mid-80s near the coast and upper 80s inland. Meteorologist Sammy Hadi with NWS Miami said temperatures will feel like the 90s across most of the region.

When will the cold front arrive?

The cold front is expected to arrive around daybreak and during the morning hours of Monday, Hadi said. Unlike some earlier fronts, this one will be dry with only about a 10% chance of isolated showers.

The main impacts will be gusty winds and a sharp drop in temperature Monday. Temperatures will peak in the upper 70s late Monday morning, then fall quickly through the afternoon.

“As we go through to 2 or 3 p.m., we start to cool down rapidly,” Hadi said, noting that readings will drop into the 60s by early evening.

The coldest air of the season is expected to arrive Nov. 9-10, 2025 and could sink to at or below freezing in some interior areas.

Northwest winds of 15–20 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph, will make for a breezy afternoon and hazardous marine conditions along the coast.
