These weekend tasks can wait a little longer – it’s time to relax and have fun. To this end, I gathered three Netflix programs that have been acclaimed by the public and criticism, and all are perfect entertainment for the next few days.

As a person who watched a lot of television, I can guarantee the quality of these series. I have seen all the shows from start to finish, and they often come to mind when friends and family want a recommendation.

Development stopped

When George Bluth Sr. is imprisoned for fraudulent activities involving his real estate business, his son Michael must collect the parts, while dealing with his chaotic family. To keep the family together and appease his son, Michael and some of his relatives move in the company’s model house. This is the premise for Development stoppedA hilarious and unique sitcom of the creator Mitchell Hurwitz.

The show presents a casting that has forcefully increased since its first in 2003. There is no weak link. Jason Bateman embodies the hetero Michael, alongside Michael Cera as a well-intentioned son, Will Arnett as a failed magician brother, and the late Jessica Walter as a matriarch who loves alcohol, to name only a few. One of the greatest pleasures of the series is the scenes in which the whole family is together, with all their rebounding idiosyncrasies.

While Netflix can be quick to cancel today, the streamer has really resurrected Development stopped. The program was broadcast for the first time on Fox for three seasons before the network dropped it, and it was not until 2013 that Netflix picked up the coat for two other seasons. The Netflix era is pleasant, but not as good as what preceded. Anyway, the show is a pleasure when taken as a whole.

Mr. Robot

Mr. Robot is not the type of show you can have in the background. It is intense and requires your full attention. Rami Malek plays the role of Elliot Alderson, a computer engineer recruited by the mysterious Mr. Robot de Christian Slater to join his pirate group and help eliminate the largest conglomerate in the world. If that seems intriguing, do not look for anything else about history – part of the thrill comes from its unexpected nature.

Mr. Robot In a curious and uncomfortable tone. Part of this comes from history and themes, but also from the design of production and camera work – people are often positioned on the edge of the frame. The sound design and the synth -based partition also add to the present presentation of the show, which is equivalent to something that you have probably known elsewhere.

Malek is electric in the main role, playing a troubled and complex character. Elliot has few friends and fights with his mental health (which is intensely resolved). He devotes most of his life to the piracy of the vigilante, during which he is incredibly talented. This aspect is also realistically represented. While many show simplify computers, Mr. Robot Employed a team of professionals to ensure technical precision. Whether or not it counts for you, you can enjoy the spectacle for the dark and dark drama it is.

Archer

Archer is a hilarious adult animated series on a group of spies. In the center of all this is the eponymous archer Sterling, whose mother runs the agency. He is arrogant, an alcoholic, a skill runner and generally a responsibility – he is also incredible in his work, to the great frustration of his colleagues. Again, they are not exactly stable either. The show follows their misadventures as you go, which generally ends up saving the day in the most dysfunctional way.

ArcherThe humor is full of references of pop culture of sliding left, word play and repeated jokes. There are also a lot of insults between spies. The whole voice raises procedures, but it is particularly fun to hear H. Jon Benjamin as a titular character. You may know him as the restaurateur of sweet ways in Bob’s BurgersIt is therefore funny to make it use the same voice here for someone who is radically different.

The animation improves over the seasons, so don’t be put off if you find it too stained at the start. The show has a unique aesthetic which, I think, works well; The characters are made up of simple colors and daring contours, fixed on a very detailed backdrop. Nor is he afraid of taking risks with history, with whole seasons placing the gang in different contexts and periods of time. Assuming that you don’t bother you lots of violence and swear Archer is the show for you.

These programs stand, no matter how you watch them, but I think they are better appreciated on a television (watching Netflix on a phone is a sacrilege in my opinion, but it is a debate for another time). You don’t need sophisticated equipment to get there – there are several inexpensive ways to get Netflix on your TV.
