We all at Wired have complicated office configurations that facilitate work at home. You don’t need to go so hard for a dormitory, and you probably only have a lot of space to save anyway. Consult our full homework guide for more options, but it is some of our favorite office accessories that deserve to be considered – more other options for your dormitory.

Aecoly Chic Touch Control Desk Fan for $ 25: I tested this little wireless fan all summer for our best fans guide, and my friend’s son has just taken him to school for his first year at the University of Colorado. It will be hot for the moving week, and this fan is not only powerful, its 8-inch high body adapts in a suitcase, it is rechargeable USB-C, and it is fairly calm (36 low decibels) that it will not disturb the roommates or will not interfere with the study. —Kat Merck
Benq Screenbar computer lamp for $ 109: The wired publisher Julian Chokkattu swears by this desktop lamp, which only works if you have an external monitor on your desk. It hangs above the screen and illuminates your workspace. Better yet, it does not make any space on your desk!
Extra large extra wide length microfiber carpet for $ 25: This carpet is soft and doubles a mouse cushion if you want to add a separate keyboard and mouse.
IKEA SKUBB Sub-Party Storage case for $ 10: When the former Cabbed Critique Medea Giordano lived in a small prison cell in New York (uh, apartment), she put four of these storage bins under her bed to contain all the clothes that her closet could not accommodate. College beds have a lot of space below, and they can contain clothes out of season, shoes or everything you need, such as party supplies. Amazon also has a lot of options.
Dalykate backpack clothes bag for $ 17: You may have to increase your laundry for a few flights to the laundry room. This basket has a pocket to maintain your detergent and your backpack straps for portability, and it is not as bulky as a laundry basket. This is what the editor Wired Julian Chokkattu uses to head for his laundromat.
Crocs Classic Clogs for $ 50: You need a pair of shower shoes. Believe me when I say you don’t want to face the athlete’s foot in a university dormitory. These are my favorites for shared showers – they are quite easy to enter, easy to slide from the moment you balance a leg to wash your feet, and they dry too. Alternatively, you can go with a dedicated pair of flip flops or slides. You may also want to provide additional bath towels. Do not forget a shower shopping shopping cart for your toiletries!
LED Govee RGBIC LED strip for $ 44: The string lights are cute, but they are not very fun. The decoration of the room is largely subjective, but we really like this light gang of Govee. You can easily adjust the colors and the brightness using the smartphone app, and you can cut the lights down depending on the space.
Basic cleaning supplies: I did not know how much I forgot things when I moved into a dormitory. Make sure you remember the essential elements of households such as detergent, paper towels, dish soap, disinfectant wipes and bath drops. You may also want a small broom and a shovel of dust.
