Santa Clara, California – Two days after entering an animated post -match exchange with Jacksonville Jaguars coach Liam Coen, the defensive coordinator of San Francisco 49ers, Robert Saleh, reiterated that his comments last week on the “Legal signal flight” were a compliment but recognized that he could have chosen his words better.

“Everything is fine,” said Saleh on Tuesday. “Everything that happened on Sunday does not change what I feel. In my heart, I really tried to make a compliment, and I have the fact that I probably used the bad choice of words, but even if you want to say it. I mean, they are really, really good to put their players in a position to succeed. As a trainer, we always chase a lever. They try to win a lever.

“As a coach who looks at their band, I recognize the number of hours to devote to be able to build training and define each little indicator that they can give their players a chance to be in a successful position. It is exhausting and each team does it better than others and it was my way of recognizing that these guys are really, really, really good.”

Saleh then completed the work that Coen does as a 3-1 Jaguars coach, which gave the 49ers their first defeat of the season on Sunday.

“I think Liam is doing a lot of work,” said Saleh. “I really do it. You can say that this team really takes its personality and I hope they have come out of healthy game, and I wish them the best chances throughout the season. I would have liked to be able to find a better choice of words, but my intention was always to complete this football staff.”

After the victory of Jacksonville 26-21 on Sunday at the Levi’s stadium, the television cameras caught Saleh and Coen stirring and having to be separated, probably comments from Saleh the previous week on the quality of the Jaguars to legally steal signals to the opponents.

Saleh and Coen, the two best candidates for the Jaguars head coach work during the offseason, did not originally praised in the midfield after the match. Tuesday, Saleh said that he was looking for Coen on the ground to explain himself and complementing him how he played the jaguars when the argument intensified.

“The intention was to say exactly what I just said that I think he is doing a very good job, which I do,” said Saleh. “This football team plays and takes their personality. They play violently on the offensive line and their runners work very hard and I think they are doing a really very nice job. I just wanted to let him know that I appreciate the way he does his business with his football team.”

After Coen passed in front of Saleh without recognizing him, he turned to Saleh while the center of Jaguars Robert Haunsey retained it. Saleh replied and exchanged words with the Jacksonville Walker Little offensive platform while a member of the Niners staff held him.

In a video captured by Action Sports Jax, Coen was heard shouting: “Keep my name out of your mouth. Keep my name out of your mouth F — ING”, to which Saleh replied, partly: “I am going to f — Your world.”

After the match, Coen refused twice to develop on the exchange, saying only that it was “not a big problem” and that they “would keep it between us”.

According to Custom, Saleh was not available after the match, but talked about it on Tuesday while the Niners are preparing for Thursday evening’s match against the Los Angeles Rams.

Saleh said on Tuesday that he and Coen had not contacted each other since Sunday and said that he wanted to have chosen words other than the “signaling flight” to assert his point of view on Coen employment, the coach of the Rams Sean Mcvay and others do it to head for adhesive ribbon to find advantages for their teams without breaking the rules.

“Obviously, I did a bad job with the words,” said Saleh. “I mean, if I said the study of the film of words, I don’t think we really talked about it. But I used signal flight and that’s why I was so categorical on this subject.

Niners coach Kyle Shanahan, who tried to develop any potential tension on Friday, stressing that Saleh was trying to pay Coen a compliment and saying that he shouldn’t have used the word “steal”, said on Tuesday that he thought that the Sunday Kerfuffle was a lot about nothing.

Asked on Tuesday which coaches of the NFL could take Saleh to a fight, Shanahan laughed and said “just me” before agreeing that he would take the dan Campbell lions “on many people”.

“Saleh is too nice generally but seemed that someone touched a sensitive string the other day,” said Shanahan. “I don’t think there are fights. It was a bit comic now to look at it.”
