Spider-Man: A Whole New Day will soon be released worldwide, and its trailer will go viral on social media apps. In the film, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker returns to a reality where the world does not remember him and new threats appear on the horizon.

If you want to watch a few titles (that aren’t MCU movies or shows) before Brand new dayyou can find some of the main actors’ works on Netflix. Here are five films to watch and who they feature.

Fury

A war tank and its crew on the path to freedom and combat

THE Spider-Man, the All-New Day The trailer shows the return of Marvel antihero Punisher, with Jon Bernthal reprising his role as Frank Castle. Berhthal’s resume is extensive, the famous one being Fury. Set against the dark and gloomy backdrop of the final days of World War II, Fury follows a seasoned tank commander, Don “Wardaddy” Collier (Brad Pitt), and his small crew as they move deep into Nazi Germany.

They receive a new team member, Norman Ellison (Logan Lerman), an inexperienced employee who is thrown into combat. With their Sherman tank, Fury, the team advances against all odds, battling fierce enemies. Bernthal plays the tank loader, Grady “Coon-Ass” Travis.

The Adam Project

Explosion of the future

You may have spotted a Marvel fan favorite in the Spider-Man: A Whole New Day trailer, with Mark Ruffalo’s Dr. Bruce Banner making his return as Peter Parker’s mentor. If you like Ruffalo’s works, Netflix hosts many of them, including The Adam project, which also includes Dead Pool Ryan Reynolds.

An interesting Netflix film which was part of its 2022 programming, The Adam Project is a sci-fi action thriller that’s a must-have for family streaming nights. It follows fighter pilot Adam Reed (Reynolds), who steals a time jet to escape from the future to 2018 in order to save his wife, Laura, from assassination. After accidentally landing in 2018, he meets his 12-year-old self (played by Percy Jackson and the Olympians Walker Scobell), and the two versions of Adam team up to uncover a conspiracy related to older Adam’s future while dealing with the death of their father (Ruffalo).

Let the snow fall

Love is in the cold air

A brand new day Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned in the MCU’s Spider-Man films, has a few other titles he stars in, including Let the snow fall. This teen romantic comedy follows a group of high school students in a small town whose lives unexpectedly intertwine during a massive snowstorm on Christmas Eve.

As the blizzard shuts everything down, love, friendship, tension, and Christmas cheer blossom throughout the night of the ensemble. The film is based on the young adult novel of the same name by Maureen Johnson, John Green and Lauren Myracle.

Malcolm and Mary

This performance-driven film is a magnetic watch

Zendaya’s character, MJ, will make a comeback in Brand new day with a whole new life away from Peter Parker, but before watching the Marvel movie, you can check out some of the Euphoria the leader’s performance. One of them is Malcolm and Maryan intense black-and-white romantic drama starring just the two leads (Zendaya and John David Washington) in a dialogue-driven story.

It follows writer-director Malcolm Elliott and his girlfriend, Marie Jones, as they air out the dirty laundry and tackle every crack in their relationship after the premiere of his film. The film takes place over one night, with the two characters oscillating between affection, anger and intimacy.

The devil all the time

Here evil hides in plain sight

We can’t talk about Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, without talking about one of the best films in his filmography. The devil all the time is a Southern Gothic psychological thriller set in two small towns over the course of several post-war years. At the center is Arvin (Holland), a young man who tries to protect his loved ones. Around him, corruption and greed take hold of the city, with religion at the center of some of the set’s stories.

The devil all the time also features performances from Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgard, Sebastian Stan, Riley Keough and Haley Bennett.

Spider-Man: A Whole New Day is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase Six of the MCU. Before watching it, you can check out the MCU’s vast library of movies and shows (in order of release, which would be the best way).
