14 killed, including journalists, in Israeli strike on Gaza

At least 14 Palestinian civilians, including several journalists, were killed on Monday by an Israeli strike on the Nasser medical complex in the south of Gaza, according to Palestinian sources.

The incident occurred at the Khan Younis hospital, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, adding that the emergency services are among the dead. Dozens were injured, the agency said.

According to the Associated Press (AP), an independent contributor for AP was one of the dead. Reuters also pointed out that one of his independent contributors had been killed and another photographer working for the agency, also a freelancer, was injured. The Arab diffuser Al Jazeera said that one of his cameras was one of the journalists killed.

The Israeli army said it was examining reports.
