Saints agree to 10-year extension to remain in New Orleans through 2035

New Orleans’ saints are not going anywhere. Thursday, the saints announced that they had signed a 10-year lease extension to continue playing the Superdome Caesars in New Orleans until 2035.
The saints have been playing in superdome since 1975, and the owner of the Gayle Benson team revealed that she has been working on this agreement with the city for some time.
“The discussions on this agreement lasted two administrations, a world pandemic and the Hurricane Ida,” said Benson, via the official website of Saints. “I am totally happy that we would send a signed copy of this agreement to the NFL for their approval.
“We have concluded many negotiations with the State, as far as I remember. And each time, a better partnership has been trained with a clearer vision of mutual success for the State and the team. But more importantly, for our fans. And I am convinced that today is the case.”
New Orleans welcomed the most recent Super Bowl (Lix), where Jalen Hurts and the Eagles of Philadelphia beat the Chiefs of Kansas City, 40-22. New Orleans welcomed 11 Super Bowls, and Benson is ready to welcome another as soon as possible.
“Last February proved what we can do when we all work together,” said Benson. “Our ability to secure another Super Bowl has been somewhat compressed, but I am not dissuaded.
“Once the NFL approves this lease extension – which I know they will – we will then be allowed to ask the NFL to bid on future Super Bowls. I explained to [commissioner Roger Goodell] That we will actually be back in his office, doing our best to welcome another Super Bowl in the very close future, once this extension signed. “”
The Saints franchise was created in 1966 and started playing at the Tulane stadium until 1975. New Orleans won a Super Bowl championship, which came in the 2009 season, in which Drew Brees beat the Indianapolis colts of Peyton Manning, 31-17.
