£85m Premier League stalwart now ‘a step closer’ to deciding on Man Utd move after his agent attends game

Sandro Tonali has two Premier League giants ready to snap him up from Newcastle United this summer if he opens the door to a move.
Indeed, Arsenal and Manchester United are keen admirers of the Magpies fan favorite as speculation grows that he could leave St. James’ Park at the end of the season.

Sandro Tonali: The state of play in the uncertainty of Newcastle
Although the player himself has remained tight-lipped about his future, it was actually his agent who fueled speculation by suggesting Tonali could explore a new venture should Newcastle fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Given they sit 12th in the Premier League and 12 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa heading into week 30, it certainly doesn’t look good for their European hopes.

A new report from TeamTalk claims the 25-year-old, valued at £85 million, is ‘one step closer’ to make a concrete decision about their future. Meanwhile, his representative, Giuseppe Riso, was spotted in the Emirates recently to watch the Gunners in action.
Could Tonali head to north London this summer?
Arsenal were heavily linked with Tonali in the dying hours of the January transfer window, with David Ornstein even confirming that his agent had offered him to the north London club, but no contact was made with Newcastle and so nothing materialized.
However, this may suggest that the 30-cap Italian is leaning towards a move to the current league leader over any other suitors.

United had initially set their sights on Tonali after it was set in stone that Casemiro would leave when his contract expired in June, with fellow Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes reportedly personally backed by compatriot Casemiro also being considered by INEOS.
