Louisiana State University football coach Lane Kiffen, who recently signed a $91 million contract, claims he took home a basket of groceries because he objected to paying the grocery bag fee.

Kiffen, the second-highest paid coach in college football, is taking aim at a TikTok video posted Thursday by his daughter Landry, which shows the coach coming home with his groceries still in the store’s plastic shopping cart.

Landry apparently found the video of the coach entering his house with the store cart amusing. She captioned the video: “Sent it to the store alone for the first time… shopping privileges revoked.”

In the video, his daughter Landry asks the coach why he has the plastic bin with him after going to the store. He responds, “How else was I supposed to carry it? You have to pay for the bags! They said you have to pay for the bags. And it was a self-checkout, so I just…”

Landry may have been amused, but many others criticized Kiffen for stealing a plastic shopping cart from the store, simply because he didn’t want to pay a few cents more for a bag of groceries.
