Terence Crawford shines in decision over Canelo Alvarez to become undisputed champion
Terence Crawford became the undisputed champion of average weights after an exciting victory over Canelo Alvarez.
Going up two weight categories to hunt the size, Crawford succeeded in the daring feat in a successful championship boxing match which served as a headliner at the alleging stadium in Las Vegas. The Netflix-Broadcast event co-promoted by the CEO of the UFC, Dana White, and the president of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, Turki Alashikh, saw the two big boxes of the point for 12 laps.
When the dust settled, Crawford (42-0) was announced the winner against Canelo (63-3-2) with unanimous scores of 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113. Crawford now holds WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF and Ring magazine titles.
From the start of the fight, it was clear that Crawford was going to be ready to go first and punch in clusters to keep Canelo honest. Using its speed and movement outside, Crawford was able to implement a stellar game plan that caused Canelo to follow it around the ring.
However, it was not all crawford throughout the fight. Canelo certainly had his moments by winning big power. However, the manufacturer of difference was Jab’s volume and will, which Crawford used brilliantly throughout the fight.
None of the fighters were injured at any time in the fight, and there were no reversals, but the animated exchanges that occurred have maintained the crowd on the edge of their siege, especially around 9.

If style points were a factor, this advantage also went to Crawford. After a few laps, Crawford seemed to be fully comfortable with the way the fight was going on, while he was starting to leave a smile on his face while exchanging with Canelo.
The official judges were unanimously agree that Crawford was the best fighter of the night, crowning a new undisputed champion at 168 pounds.

During their interviews after the fighting, none of the fighters seemed to know what was going to go afterwards. Crawford, 37, thanked all of his supporters and enemies in the construction of the event. Canelo, 35, said he was doing well with the result and seemed to take the loss with a positive perspective. He admitted that it was a great risk of taking this fight, but had no regrets.
