LOOK: Steelers’ Kaleb Johnson makes shocking special teams mistake that leads to Seahawks touchdown
Kaleb Johnson’s career in the NFL did not start the way he or the Steelers probably imagined when Pittsburgh selected the Iowa show in the third round of this year’s draft. Johnson’s difficult departure now includes an important error in the special teams that led to the touch of the Seahawks during week 2.
The error occurred when returning from a kick -off at the beginning of the fourth quarter after the Seahawks took a three -point lead. Instead of succeeding in the kick, Johnson let the ball go through his hands and in the goal area, which was covered by George Holani of Seattle for a touch of Seattle.
The scene sparked memories of the former Ballon carrier of the Steelers Barry Foster in 1990. Like Johnson, Foster was a recruit when he committed a similar special teams who led to an early touch for the 49ers.
Foster overcome the error and experienced a successful, but brief race, in Pittsburgh. He is sure to say that Johnson hopes for a similar story.
Written to help replace Najee Harris (who signed with the loaders during the free agency), Johnson received only one postponement for -1 yards in the victory of week 1 of Pittsburgh against the jets. He had only one port for 1 meter against Seattle before his escape.
