Kate Middleton Adds a Fifth Meaningful Ring to Her Engagement Ring Stack
The princess of Wales presented a new pile of rings when she attended the funeral of the Duchess of Kent on Tuesday, September 16. With other higher members of the royal family, Kate Middleton arrived at Westminster cathedral to celebrate the life of the Kent duchess, who died earlier this month at 92.
Kate combined her famous sapphire and diamond engagement ring with four other thin strips, carrying the five on a finger for the first time to create a trendy battery. A ring of eternity, a new addition to the princess jewelry box since last year, is decorated with diamonds and sapphires, and is considered the wedding band of the Etinnel de Cartier. Many have hypothesized that the ring was perhaps a gift from Prince William to mark the end of Kate preventive chemotherapy – and of course, he coordinates perfectly with his engagement ring.
A second ring, fixed with smaller diamonds for a paved effect, is another new addition to the Kate jewelry collection and goes well with its other pieces, given its subtle spark. The third ring of eternity is an older play: a sparkling and inlaid style of diamonds, he is from Annoushka – one of Kate’s favorite jewelers – and would have been a gift from William after the birth of Prince George in 2013. The fourth final group adorning the princess’s finger was, of course, her wedding ring, designed with the wedding band.
The choice of princess’s rings has become a question of many discussions in the past year, with the observers of the Royals following when Kate chooses to wear her famous sapphire engagement ring and when she opts for a set of rings of eternity instead. On this most important occasion, however, she chose to team up her Catherine Catherine Walker’s coat dress simple with her most amazing jewelry, including her five favorite rings. The princess also accessorized with the necklace of Japanese pearl neck and a pair of diamond and pearty earrings, both inherited from the late Queen Elizabeth.
