Soldiers Are Being Disciplined for Charlie Kirk Social Media Posts
At least eight members of the army were punished for comments made following the death of Charlie Kirk, and dozens of others have been doxed and reported.
Task and purposes reports that at least five army officers and an Air Force sergeant were suspended, a navy was dismissed from his recruitment post for having published a meme of Kirk, subtitled, “another racist man jumped”, and a reserve army is under investigation.
“The Ministry of War maintains a zero tolerance policy for military staff or Dow civilians who celebrate or make fun of the assassination of Charlie Kirk,” published the Pentagon from his quick response account last Friday on X.
Even so, it will not be as simple to simply draw soldiers to publish things that do not align with the current administration policy that the Pentagon claims.
“People who join the soldiers have fewer rights of the first amendment than those who do not, but they still have robust rights of the first amendment,” a former military colonel, judge and prosecutor Don Christensen told CNN. He then noted that nothing says: “Pete Hegseth does not like what you say, so I will continue you.”
“You can’t just say unexpectedly:” If you say something on social networks about Charlie Kirk that Pete Hegseth does not like, it is a “” crime, “continued Christensen.
Although this could be true, it is likely that the order of the pantagon gag has already had the desired cooling effect.
