Residents express amazement after seeing fireball streak across the southern sky
More than 200 people in half a dozen southern states said they had witnessed a fireball sequence through the sky, and NASA determined that it was a meteor. Observations Thursday sparked the wonder and astonishment on the part of many people who saw it. Friday afternoon, 215 reports of half a dozen southern state had poured into the American Meteor Society. Most of the observations of the Light and Fire Ball sequence came from Georgia and South Carolina around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
