The Creative Wireless cat is a light Bluetooth helmet designed for professional use. He does not try to reinvent the wheel, but offers in place an exceptional comfort and a crystalline audio to what I would consider as a very fair price.
As a guy who lives inside his headphones – for everything, telephone conferences for musical reading and game sessions – I wanted to see how well they played.
Spoiler alert: They are really worth seeing if you are a professional. Yes, I have problems with the buttons, but the design, the price and the overall quality of the micro audio and the micro birth are excellent.
Creative chat wireless: Price and availability
The Creative Chat Wireless headset is currently at a price of $ 70 on the official Creative US website – while in the United Kingdom, it sells £ 50 via Creative.
I also see it available on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk for the same price.
Compared to alternatives, it is almost at a price roughly at the level of the range – it is certainly not as expensive as offers such as the Jabra Evolution 2 65 Flex that I examined, which far exceeds the $ 150 mark.
Creative chat wireless: design and functionality
The design of the wireless headset is normal for the course and in accordance with what I expected from a unit at this price. Inside the box, there is the helmet itself, a USB cable, the USB dongle and a quick start manual.
In hand, the helmet is slightly light with a lot of design to adapt to a range of head sizes. The group is made up of a firm plastic, carefully rounded on the one hand, which, I think, gives it an attractive premium style compared to the bladder helmets. Training the top is a padding for a more comfortable adjustment. As an accent, there is bronze metal connecting it to the pads.
I found the ears well hidden, with a foam interior covered with a synthetic material. They adapt well on the ear, but do not envelop them as do the occasional consumption headphones. These also rotate inward for easier storage – although they are not foldable and do not come with a case.
On the left ear is a USB-C port for the load and the buttons from top to bottom. I particularly like the way they are positioned on each side of the group, so I do not blindly pour myself for the good.
It also houses the storing microphone, which runs in both directions and has a physical mood button. At the base of the microphone is a call button, used to turn on and turn off the unit or extinguish or enter the bluetooth matching mode.
Overall, the helmet has a simple and effective design with all the main features you expect.
Creative cat Wireless: Performance
I have already said it and I repeat: the cat wireless is light, based the balance at 0.3 lb / 137 g when I weighed them. This is the kind of helmet that you can easily wear all day (and I did) without discomfort. If you take a lot of calls, they are perfect in this regard.
When you wear the helmet, it is surprisingly firm on the ears – and although there is no vibrande on the ears, the adjusted adjustment has prevented a foreign background filter.
I found that the audio quality was excellent, with just the right amount of bass and hat -trick, while the voices had the correct stamp. I used them for video calls using both Bluetooth and the USB Dongle, as well as to connect via Bluetooth to my phone to listen to music and podcasts, and a Nintendo Switch 2 playing games. Each time, I have not known any ston-end-stent here, which I sometimes find from cheaper devices.
The quality of microphones has become incredibly clear. There is noise committee on the microphone and in my own tests, it worked well. Which is useful, because I have a particularly vocal cat that likes to make its presence known during calls. I have not encountered absolutely no problem throughout my use, and yes, the silent button on the microphone works instantly and well (a perennial fear of mine). A discreet voice whispered in your ear to let you know when it is mute or without victim, and the LED simultaneously passes from blue (deprivation) to white (silent).
All pressures on the button is soft and pleasant – neither too clickable nor too pasty, but somewhere between the two. However, I discovered that during the attempted volume adjusting, I had to be firm enough for him to register. Light taps will simply not work here.
This was not the case with the call button, which was immediately reactive when responding to calls and hanging up. Other features such as the maintenance of the volume buttons to jump tracks during the reading or tapping of the call button to play or take a break worked well.
Where I have encountered problems, however, it was when he pressed this button several times to activate the different functions, like Redial or the opening of my AI assistant. It took a while to understand the appropriate time between each click. It should neither be fast nor too far away. The experiment is recommended.
But where it really matters – the quality of the audio and the microphone – I was very impressed and confident that I was heard. I never had to ask “everyone can hear me?” Or “Does this thing?”
Creative cat Wireless: final verdict
Each time I review a device like this, I wonder: I would buy it with my own hard money? And, given the cost and global audio experience, it is a resounding yes. It is impressive and ideal for professionals in an office or home office.
I have problems with the buttons, which could be more reactive – but to a certain extent, this could be a user’s error on my part – and some may wish additional features such as a foldable design or a storage box. And if you prefer a wired connection, they are not those for you, because they are only wireless.
But for a wireless mid -range unit that makes meetings more bearable, especially if you use them all day, they are one of the best Bluetooth headsets I used.
Do I have to buy the Wireless Chat Chat?
Buy it if …
✅ You wear a helmet all day: The cat wireless is pleasantly light for a day use, and the ear plates feel well adjusted without pressing against them too loud. I found them very comfortable, even after having worn them for hours at a time.
✅ You want a well -priced helmet with all the basic characteristics: It is not overloaded with unnecessary features or expensive technology, but the audio quality is excellent and the buttons offer a multitude of additional functions to navigate in calls and reading.
Don’t buy it if …
❌ You need a wired and wireless connection: As its name suggests, this helmet is wirelessly using Bluetooth 5.4 or the USB Dongle. Creative sells the USB cat, which has a slightly thicker design but an almost identical price with – you guessed it – a wired USB connection.
❌ You want an audio from the noise commission: Although the microphone has a noise cancellation, the headphones do not have this functionality. I did not find that it was a problem even in somewhat active pieces, but it may be a break for those who are noisy workspaces.
