Bologna Products Recall Sparks Nationwide Warning to Customers

Friday, the Gaïser’s European Style Provisions Inc. remembers more than 143,000 pounds of Bologna products ready to eat due to “erroneous”, according to the Food Security and Inspection Service of the US Department of Agriculture (FSIS) on Friday.

Why it matters

Many reminders were launched in 2025 due to the potential for damaged products, foods of food origin, contamination and unsuccessful food allergens.

Millions of Americans experience food sensitivities or allergies each year. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the nine “major” food allergens in the United States are eggs, milk, fish, wheat, soy, crustaceans, sesame, trees and peanuts.

What to know

In the alert, the FSIS warns that Bologna products recalled contain “meat or poultry source materials” not noted on product labels. The goods were produced from March 20, 2025 to June 20, 2025.

The alert has photos of the labels of the various products and below a list of the impacted products, according to the FSIS:

  • Packages packed under vacuum from “Family Tree Bologna Veal” containing not declared pork.
  • Plastic packaging of “Babushka’s Recend Chicken Bologna” containing unconceived pork.
  • Plastic packaging of “fantasy bologna” labeled with pork as ingredient but containing beef and unsuccessful chicken.
  • Vacuum -wrapped packages of “the Russian brand of Gaïser Doktorskaya Bologna” containing undeclared beef.
  • Plastic packaging of “Gaive’s Bologna Veal” containing chicken and not declared pork.
  • Plastic packaging of “Gaïser’s Turkey Bologna” containing chicken and not declared pork.
  • Plastic packaging of “Chicken Bologna Kypoyka Paba” containing uncommented pork.

The FSIS warns that these products have been distributed to retailers and wholesalers across the country and have a number of establishment of “East. 5385” inside the American inspection brand of the Department of Agriculture.

“Some products would have been weighed, wrapped and labeled in retail stores at the time of purchase,” said the FSIS, adding later that the department is concerned that people can have the products recalled in their freezers or refrigerators.

The FSIS in the alert, in part: “The problem was discovered when the FSIS was informed by the office of the Inspector General (OIG) of a complaint received by the Hotline of the OIG. The FSIS investigated the complaint and determined that the products contained source materials which were not declared on the label.

“Although the FSIS does not expect harmful health effects for class III products recalled and there has been no confirmed report of unwanted reactions due to the consumption of these products, any person concerned by a disease should contact a health care provider.”

What happens next

Customers who bought the recalled products should not consume them; Either throw them or return the goods to the original place of purchase, says the FSIS.
