‘Multiple injuries and fatalities’ in shooting at ICE facility in Texas

There were “multiple injuries and deaths” during a shooting in an immigration establishment in Texas, said Kristi Noem, secretary to the Ministry of Internal Security.
The attack took place on Wednesday morning in a Dallas field office for the immigration and customs forces (ICE).
“Details are still emerging, but we can confirm that there have been several injuries and deaths,” said Noem on X.
She added that the shooter died of a self-inflicted ball wound. The incident has followed a series of attacks on ice facilities across the United States in recent months.
“Although we did not yet know the reason, we know that our ice law enforcement is faced with unprecedented violence against them,” said Noem. “It must stop.”
Preliminary information suggests that a sniper has carried out the outdoors from the establishment and struck the victims in a “secure inmate place,” the acting director of ice, Todd Lyons, said in CNN.
He said three people were “broken down”, including the alleged shooter.
“We are not sure of their condition,” said Lyons.
Last month, shots were fired on ice offices in San Antonio, Texas, in what investigators described as a “targeted attack” against federal employees.
No injury has been reported in this incident, that Ice blamed “political rhetoric” and “disinformation” on Trump administration’s detention policies.
Another shooting occurred during the public holidays on July 4 in an ICE installation in Alvarado, Texas, after a demonstration turned into play with the police. An officer killed in the neck survived.
