Oklahoma superintendent who tried to put Trump Bibles in classrooms resigns | Oklahoma

Oklahoma’s Superintendent, who drew national attention when he sought to install religion and right -wing views in the Oklahoma schools, will resign to manage a non -profit organization for conservative education.
Ryan Walters, who has directed public schools in Oklahoma since 2022, has tried in the past to put Trump brand Bibles in classrooms and demand electoral plots of 2020.
He leaves the post to direct the Teacher Freedom Alliance (TFA), which says that his mission is to help teachers develop “free, moral and green American citizens”. On its website, the Walters praise group as its new leader.
“Walters without fear the Woke Liberal Union Mob. TFA will take the fight directly to the unions and we will not stop, ”says the website. “Together, we will build a national movement focused on freedom and common sense, not on intimidation and intimidation. Educators will now be able to free themselves. ”
Walters announced its move to Fox on Wednesday evening, teasing its appearance by writing on X: “The worst nightmare of Liberal is about to become true”. On Fox, he said he wanted to “destroy teacher unions” and “build a teaching army to defeat teachers’ unions once and for all”. He said that his plan was to take the fight he had started in Oklahoma nationally.
An affiliate of Local Fox reported having collected more than 400 appearances on the national media in the past two years by Walters when he sought to enhance his profile on a national scale while pursuing a nationalist Christian program in Oklahoma, by rejecting the separation of the Church and the State and by installing Christian points of view in governance.
Walters has repeatedly pushed Christianity in Oklahoma public schools. He once tried to demand schools to play a video to pray to him. He pleaded for the first Catholic public charter school in the country. This week, he called for chapters of Turnout Point USA in Charlie Kirk in all the Oklahoma schools.
After promoting the newsletter
He also fought against teachers, in particular by saying that they are pushing “awakened indoctrination” in the schools of Oklahoma. He wants teachers from liberal states to include “America First” certification. He put eminent right -wing figures such as the activist behind Libs of Tiktok and the head of the heritage foundation on the committees of state education. Tiktok Libs and other conservative influencers have recommended that Walters become US Secretary for Education under Trump.
