On October 7, 2023, Eli Sharabi was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists and detained for 491 days, before being released last February, an event he told in his book “Orlegen”. He spoke with Seth Doane by returning for the first time to his Kibbutz in the south of Israel, and described the hope which gave him the strength to survive, and why he remains optimistic for the future.
