Sorbet Nails Are Summer’s Fresh Spin On The Ice Cream Manicure

Is it even in summer if you don’t spend more time in the freezer driveway? Our favorite treat inspired the manicure of ice cream, but now the sorbet nails caused their colorful but minimalist look.

Sorbet nails are exactly as they sound: a manicure that evokes the appearance of ice cream with sorbet. Regarding the texture, they also imitate the same look as the dessert they call. While the ice cream is made of barattated milk, the sorbet is based on water and has a lighter sensation and more here.

Likewise, the traditional manicure of ice cream perfectly mixes a creamy pastel base with a soft white point (imagine a cloud of whipped cream). The sorbet nails, on the other hand, also have pastel varnish and fruity, but these read slightly translucent – and, if there is a point, it is a shade of sorbet garnishing a nude vitreous nail.

Some sorbet nails look at the trend of shadow nails with a juicy explosion on the tips, crushing in a pure bare base, like this fishing nail by the famous Queenie Nguyen manicure, which counts Florence Pugh and Jessica Alba as customers.

Others are inspired by jelly nails and milk nails trends, keeping fun and fresh things for those who like a touch of color without getting lost in block lights or neon territory during the hottest months. “It’s not about neon lights this summer,” said the famous manicure Harriet Westmoreland, who tells me that she is firmly team pastel this season.

But perhaps the most portable iteration of the sorbet nails is a glass base, barely there associated with a shade of sweet and fruity varnish at the tip.
