Sports piracy site Streameast returns after US government let domain expire

The PirateD Streameast website is back to illegally broadcast sporting events, only 13 months after Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) has entered the field.
In August 2024, HSI seized several areas belonging to the Streameast hacking network, including certain backup areas. After the crisis, trying to access these sites led to a HSI pop-up declaring: “This area has been seized.”

At the time, Streameast was one of the most famous sites in the United States to watch sporting events, including NBA, NFL and MLB, illegally claimed Lebron James as a user.
HSI has never published a statement on the closure of streaming. However, the banner that appeared on the seized sites said that HSI had taken over the sites by a mandate from the American district court in the Oriental District of Louisiana. However, it took a long time for streameast owners to bring back illicit service via alternative domain names, as Torrentfreak reported.
Now, one of the domain names that the HSI has taken care of is back in the hands of its original and hacking owners. This occurred without any dispute. Instead, the previous owners of the site were able to re -register the main domain name of Stremeast after expired “earlier this year,” Torrentfreak reported this week. Some streameast areas are still showing the HSI crises banner, but the original Streameast domain again broadcasts hacked sporting events.
A curious turn of events
This is surprising development given the effort of HSI to reduce the site. Streameast was still working under alternative domain names, but the return of the original site will allow even more illegal sporting streaming.
