Will Smith makes the roster for Dodgers’ wild-card series vs. Reds
Despite the last three weeks of the season with a fracture on his right hand, the receiver Will Smith has been included on the list of Dodgers for their Wild Card Best Of-Three series against the Reds of Cincinnati this week, the team announced Tuesday before match 1.
It was not immediately clear if Smith could start match 1 at the Dodger Stadium. Ben Rortvedt was also on the list and should start behind the plate if Smith cannot go.
However, even having the presence of Smith as a potential striker will be a boon for the team, who was preparing to start the playoffs without the double All-Star before making late progress this week in his recovery of his injury in hand.
Max Muncy and Tommy Edman, who both missed time last week with minor injuries, were also on the list as expected.
