The 6 Best Medical Mystery Episodes of House M.D.

I think there are few people who might disagree MD house is one of the biggest television shows in history, and one of the main reasons why this program was so observable (apart from Gregory himself) was that each episode (or two) was centered on a medical mystery.

The writers of this program certainly dug medical journals to offer some of the wildest (but generally real) medical cases never recorded. With eight seasons and more than 170 episodes, there are many major episodes to choose, but I think they have the best cases of all.

You can look Home On Amazon Prime Video in the United States. This list is not in classified order. I use official broadcasting episode numbers, but this can differ from certain streaming services where episodes in several parts are combined, or where the episodes have been deleted from certain regions.

Head of the house episode

Nbcuniversal

It is one of the most controversial arcs of Home And led to a ton of online and public debate when it was broadcast for the first time. He opens with a house in a strip club (pretty brand), but the house has no memory of the hours that preceded its being there.

It turns out that this house was in a bus accident, and that is why he lost his memory. The old Greg tries every tip of the book to recover his memory, because he simply cannot shake the feeling that he has forgotten something very important. It turns out that “something” would have a major impact on the series and viewers.

It is one of the best episodes with regard to the doctor-detective to his most acerbic, but it is also an episode that gives us an overview of the past of the house and why he turned out as he did. The thread of the main plot here is that the ex-girlfriend of the house wants her help in the treatment of her husband, which the house refuses first.

“The two games now” (season 5, episode 24)

A scene from the episode of the house on both sides now

This episode personally has a particular interest in me, because the reason why I was interested in human psychology (and that I studied it at university) was because of the so -called “divided brain” patients. Basically, as a way to control severe crises, some patients had the link between the two hemispheres in their cut brain. This has limited the seizure on one side of the brain, but to the surprise of researchers and clinicians, it turned out that the two halves of our brain can almost operate independently.

In this episode, a person with a split brain begins to show various mysterious symptoms, and his left hand (exploited by his silent right brain) seems to try to say something, but no one can understand what. The real reason why this episode is so interesting is mainly because it presents to the public the very real phenomenon of the split brain, but also because it asks fairly mind -blowing questions about what it means to be a person.

All this episode is on the theme of poker and sees the house flying a business to his boss, Dr. Cudy because he thinks she was badly diagnosing a young patient. House and his team try slyly to diagnose what could be bad and submits the young boy to a set of painful tests. However, it turns out that House is trying to resolve the case of a patient who died years ago that he thinks of having the same thing as the child. A rare disorder called Erdheim-Chest, but the child is testing negative.

Things go wrong and the boy suffers from cardiac arrest for a long time to undergo potential brain damage. The house has only enough biopsy equipment to perform three tests, but there are seven potential diseases still on the board. Something, something, going all on a poker game.

“Help Me” (season 6, episode 22)

The scene of the episode of the house help me

Nbcuniversal

He is a Doozy, and it all starts with House and his team helping the site of a major accident. A crane operator fell asleep, causing a collapse of a building with dozens of victims. House helps a woman with her leg trapped under the rubble and tries to help her team diagnose the crane operator by phone, because what the house thinks is a neurological problem that causes a loss of consciousness, not sleep.

Meanwhile, House is trying to talk about her boss and rescuers of the amputation of the trapped woman’s leg, but finally he is forced to amputate her appendage without anesthesia, because time has exhausted. Meanwhile, each test of the crane operator seems to indicate that it is good, despite the poor guy who literally bleeds from his eyes.

It’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to MD house And the show as a whole is almost all the time, but be careful to become a hypochondriac! Learning all these obscure conditions can have this effect on certain people who make them see symptoms in themselves who do not add up to a real disorder.

Worse, while most of what you see in the show is based on real medical cases, it’s always a television program. Most of the time, things are embellished for drama, or the truth is stretched. In some cases, the writers are completely mistaken. So don’t take it too seriously – sit just and say “Aah”.
