VA Dems’ Soft-on-Crime AG Nominee Was Clocked Doing 116 MPH — Guess Where He Did His ‘Community Service’? – RedState

We have covered a bit of the Virginia governors’ race here on the pages of Redstate, but there are a few other elections across the State in the Commonwealth which deserve part of our attention. And they deserve our attention because of how the whole and radical democratic ticket is this year.
Let’s talk about Jay Jones, 36, a former member of the delegates’ Chamber who is the Democratic candidate to be a attorney general. He faces the outgoing republican Jason Miyares, who swept his duties four years ago (alongside Glenn Youngkin and Winstome Earle-Sears) on a wave of parental anger against the leafy locking and the left-wing school boards out of control. Four years later, the DEMS seem to have not learned anything and run far left radicals Jay Jones at a time when many public schools in Virginia, to the chagrin of the innumerable parents, were exceeded by the Radical Trans Agenda.

We are going to arrive at the record of Jay Jones in a moment, but let’s first talk about his penchant for reckless driving. It turns out that Jones, fresh out of his unsuccessful campaign in 2021, was timed by a soldier from Virginia State going 116 miles per hour on the I-64; It is complete 46 on the speed limit.
Nick Minock, from ABC7 to Washington, DC, had the details:
🚨New: The candidate of the Prosecutor General Democrat of Virginia, Jay Jones, reacts to the new reports according to which he was found guilty of reckless driving after accelerating at 116 MPH – a year after having run for AG the first time.

NEW: The candidate of the Democratic Attorney General of Virginia, Jay Jones, reacts to the new reports that he was found guilty of reckless driving after accelerating at 116 MPH – a year after having run for AG the first time.
“Several years ago, I made the speed error, for which I am regrettable,” said Jones @ 7NewSDC[.] “I accepted the responsibility of my actions, paid for the fine and assured my responsibility towards the court, which was accepted by the office of the lawyer of the New Kent County Commonwealth and the judge.”
Here is the best part – he was sentenced to 500 hours of community service and he did all his “service time” to his own heat pump. Would we appear that “selfish”? What a joke.
When you read the strata even more, you find that Jay Jones did not simply go gentle on himself, he also chose to go slowly on criminals when he voted against legislation which would impose a minimum compulsory prison sentence of 60 days for repeated domestic abusers and opposite laws which would impose severe criminal penalties on the condemned fenanyle merchants.
That’s not all:
[Jones] also supported a bill to reduce the compulsory requirements for declaring the police for school directors for crimes committed on school land, including sexual abuse and batteries, and has opposed legislation to invoice massages and physiotherapists who sexually abuse patients with aggravated sexual battery.
Jones says that his Joyride of 116 MPH was a “error”, but his legislative assessment shows that it is not only his conduct that is out of control – it is also his far left priorities. It is soft on the attackers, soft on fentanyl shoots, and apparently quite soft on him too. Virginians may want to think of electing a attorney general who applies the law, not one who fled.
Publisher’s note: Schumer’s judgment is there. Rather than putting the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical democrats forced a government closure for health care for illegals. They have this.
