Richie Farmer: Kentucky Basketball has “Final Four potential” this season

Regarding the opinions that matter and have value, Richie Farmer has a lot of weight and value.
In a recent interview with KSR, Farmer spoke of the Kentucky basketball program led by Mark Pope, one of the best young people in sport.
“Everything I heard, we have a lot of potential and a lot to wait this year. I am really excited. … I am really excited by this team,” Farmer in Ksr told. “I always hesitate to say:” We are going 40-0 … We will win the national championship.
“But with this team, I really think they have a final oven potential.”
Like many of us, it took a little time to farm to get behind the pope and the vision he had for the Wildcats program.
Was the pope a big name when he was hired? Maybe not. However, expectations are now high due to the work that Pope has done in just over a full year as the program manager.
“We all who had the chance to watch him coach this last year, saw that he was one of the great young coaches,” said Farmer. “I mean, he is young in his career, but the way he analyzes the games and the way he takes pieces of what he has learned from different people with whom he has played and played over the years, I think he is doing a remarkable job.
“And his attack is something that these young children, they want to play for him. They want to be part of them. This is a large part of what is happening now. You must have something that calls on these young guys.”
Most of the Pope’s era so far in Kentucky is the connection it has with the fans base. He understands it because he played for Kentucky. Pope was captain of the Kentucky National Championship team in 1996. It doesn’t get much bigger than that.
Hope is that the Pope can bring Kentucky back in the Final Four, somewhere that the program has not been since 2015.
