Caitlin Clark provides injury update during Fever exit interview
After a record record campaign, the second campaign of the second campaign of Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark was interrupted by injuries in 2025.
Clark only played 13 games during an WNBA season in 2025 in injury. From the pre-season to when the fever and Clark finally closed its season, Clark underwent a left leg injury, a left quadriceps tension, a left groin injury and a right-off injury which cost him time. While Clark tried to return and rehabilitate his injury to the right groin, the 6 -foot goalkeeper underwent a separate bone bruise in his left ankle.
Clark met the media on Thursday for his fever exit interview where the Indiana superstar provided an update on how its reinstatement of injuries takes place.
“I worked very hard to resume health and I have the impression, probably, in recent weeks, it’s when I have probably started to feel better.
“My ankle didn’t allow me to really see where my groin was,” said Clark.
Clark’s right -off injury occurred in the last minute of the July 15 fever victory over Connecticut. Clark suffered the ankle injury during a training session in Phoenix on August 7.
“I just went to do a little and unfortunately my ankle completely rolled throughout the front and probably one of the worst sprains to which I treated. But I just tried to stay positive that I can, but I honestly have the impression of being in a very good place.
“People don’t always do … When you are injured, it’s honestly more work than when you play,” said Clark.
While the fever was fighting in a match 5 in the WNBA semi-finals against Las Vegas AS, Clark was seen by participating in the team’s morning shot.
With the officially finished fever season, Clark said she was planning to rest a bit before returning to the detoxification treatment.
“I’m probably going to take a short break here just for a week,” said Clark. “I don’t really want to put in place the work I have done. I just try to bring my body back to full health, basketball stuff for which I have to prepare. But more than anything, I think my main goal is really to make my body healthy.”
After playing every match during his Iowa career and during his recruited season with fever, 2025 was an unhappy scene in this regard for Clark. Thursday, Clark shared what she learned from her 2025 season in the grip of injuries.
“There were certainly difficult days,” said Clark. “I think it learned (me) how to be a very good leader, how to be a very good teammate and how to sympathize for your teammates in certain situations. When you are in the battle fire, your emotions are high and you feel things differently. … When you are on the sidelines and you don’t have a jersey, you can observe and discover people.
“Probably the biggest lesson I have learned … is how I can introduce myself every day and pour there and be there for them. … If I have a wounded teammate, injured or crossed a difficult moment, I know that I will always present myself for them and that I will be there for them and that you check on them because it is incredibly isolated and you do not do it until you do it.
