The head of the fire division, Casey Snow with the fire service of El Segundo, told Fox News Digital that some of the products – petrol and diesel – were burned.

Witnesses described the ardent scene as visible for miles.
“So I saw the sky become orange, and I was just wondering, like what the H — happened. What is it?
Snow said the crews contained the flames of the refinery and focused on preventing the fire from spreading.
“It is contained in the Chevron refinery, so there is no danger for the adjacent cities or residents of El Segundo or the beach of Manhattan,” said Snow. “The units on the scene work to depress and isolate the incident and remove the fire.”

He also noted that even if it is a “waiting game” because of what burns, there is no threat to residents in the surrounding cities at that time.
“It’s just a waiting game at the moment because there is residual essence and diesel that will burn, and there is not much that we can do it on this subject. We keep everything around him and try to depress him, and finally that the essence will run out and we will be in good shape,” said Snow.
