These Are The Few Laptops That Are Actually Worth Buying Today
A laptop is one of the most important technology elements you buy. Depending on your budget, it is an important investment that should last several years, so it is worth making sure that it has all the features you may need.
It’s easier to say than to do, however. Fortunately, I have drawn up a list of ten laptop features that I simply could not live-things like a touch screen, a solid and backlit keyboard and a quick load on USB-C. The following laptops check all or most of my boxes.

Lenovo Yoga 7

Although I prefer 2 in 1 with detachable keyboards, Lenovo seems to have far removed from these models outside a few, like the ThinkPad X12, so foldable yoga are the best thing.

HP Envy X360 (2025)
The HP Envy X360 Vaptop series is very similar to the Lenovo Yoga series in many ways. It uses the same 360 -degree hinge design, and it is almost always accompanied by a touch screen that allows you to use it as a tablet. Another thing that deserves to be underlined is that HP laptops have some of the best keyboards in the industry, which is a huge advantage if you spend most of your time type as I do.
Since the Envy X360 series is available in a variety of configurations, I will focus here on the HP Envy X360 14-FC0077NR unit, which is a 14 “laptop with a PDSF of $ 949.99. Light documents and games.
The battery is not huge, but it supports up to 16 hours of video reading, so I think it is prudent to assume that it could last 4 to 5 hours of light work in Chrome. Not that this counts too much, however, because its fast charger can bring it to 50% in just 30 minutes.
The E / S is not particularly generous, but it includes an HDMI port and two PD USB-C Ports, one of which supports Thunderbolt 4. The IPS 2K display is Corning Gorilla Glass, which says a lot about sustainability. Like yoga 7, the display ends at 300 nits, so it does not become brilliant enough for use outside.
The greatest drawback of laptops Envy X360 is that many models come with only 16 GB of non -modest RAM at the time of writing. I would not mention it if it was a laptop of $ 500, but at almost $ 1,000, being completely locked in 16 GB of RAM without high -end option is not ideal.
If your workload requires more than 16 GB of RAM, or if you are ready to invest a little more for a waterproofing in the future, opt instead for the HP Omnibook X Flip instead. Dell Latitude 5450
My current laptop is Dell Latitude 5420, so it is normal that I include his successor in this list – latitude 5450. I love this 14 -inch commercial laptop for many reasons, and I would recommend it with pleasure for all those looking for a more professional and more versatile unit that can last a very long time. It is built as a tank and has a very generous E / S with an Ethernet port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports with USB-C PD, HDMI 2.1, safety lock, etc.
What makes it really special is that it is one of the few laptops on the market that has modernisable RAM and NVME. It is a more incredible, because even if you opt for a cheaper model with 16 GB of RAM today, you can add more RAM on the line to give the unit a small performance bump.
A small drawback is the 300-nit screen, which is not perfect for outdoor use, and the full HD resolution is not as clear as laptops equipped with a 2K screen. Depending on the manufacturer, the battery can do until 1 p.m., but you can still use the 65 W quick charger to complete the pinch.
Unfortunately, latitude 5450 has a major defect – the price. At the time of writing the editorial staff, the Ultra 5 135U VPro Core unit with a touch screen will cost you $ 1,399.00. The non -affected model is slightly cheaper at $ 1,289.00, but a touch screen is an essential feature for me. So, although you get more with latitude 5450 than with the Lenovo Yoga 7 and HP Envy X360, you also pay much more. At least you can save a few dollars by improving the ram yourself.

LG Gram 14 “2-in-1
LG Gram laptops are among the thinnest and lightest laptops on the market, and I’m a fan. Despite their strong accent on thinness and plastic dependence, they always manage to offer an impressive quality of construction.
There are many LG Gram models to choose, and the one that drew my attention is the LG Gram 14T90S-G.AAB4U1. It is a 2 “2 in 1 model with the Intel Core Ultra 5 125h processor, which is slightly more powerful than the 125U of the HP Envy X360.
The 125h has a higher clock speed and has Intel Arc integrated graphics, while the 125U does not have the “Arc” brand. Although they are integrated, the arc graphics work surprisingly well, managing moderately demanding games as Forza Horizon 5 And Dota 2.
The Gram I / S is quite minimal – it lacks Ethernet and HDMI, but I am happy to see two PDS USB Type -C Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of the usual one. As for the screen, it is an IPS 1920x1200p panel (slightly sharper than FHD). LG has not listed the specification of brightness, so I cannot comment on this, but on the basis of my experience with LG monitors, I hope they use high quality panels in their laptops.
The 16 GB of non -model RAM are a disappointment given the PDSF of the laptop of $ 1,299.99, but if you can find it on sale or used for less than $ 1,000, it is a much more reasonable matter, equally with HP Envy X360.
Another reason to consider Gram LG on other laptops is its weight of only 2.75 lb. This makes it more comfortable to use in tablet mode and with a stylus than many other 2 in 1, making it an excellent choice for artists.

Asus Zenbook 14 OLED TOUCH (UM3406)
If you are aware of the advantages of the OLED, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED TOUCH (UM3406) gives you an excellent reason for being excited – it is one of the only laptops that offers an OLED touch screen in the price range of $ 1,000 to $ 1,500. The tactile screen variant can reach a maximum brightness of 500 nits, which is shiny enough to operate outside.
It’s not just the screen that is incredible on the Zenbook, however. The laptop is available in a few different configurations, so I will do the same as with the other laptops and will focus on the specific unit that I would buy: the UM3406KA-PS76T, which has a pdsf of about $ 1,099.99.
It is propelled by the new and very competent Amd Ryzen AI 7 350 CPU and 16 GB of non -modest RAM (Bummer), it is therefore very powerful given its price and the fact that it has an OLED screen.
This elegant laptop weighs only 2.82 pounds at a thickness of 0.59 inches, has an incredible backlit keyboard, and it always manages to wrap a 2,1 HDMI port and a relatively large 75Whr battery despite its fine. It also has two USB type-C PD ports (which lack Thunderbolt, but at least one is 4.0 Gen 3 and supports Displayport), a USB-A port and an audio combo socket.
Frankly, if you do not need a Thunderbolt port and you are aware of the fact that the OLED screen will eventually burn regular desktop use, there are few reasons to buy something other than this laptop.
You really can’t go wrong with any of the laptops on this list. If I were on the market today, I would certainly choose one of these five models or, more likely, a similar second -hand predecessor. I prefer thin and light laptops with a touch screen, so if you have similar preferences, one of these options should be a perfect fit.
