Mark Sanchez: Former NFL quarterback in hospital after stabbing

The former quarter-back of NFL Mark Sanchez is in a stable state at the hospital after being stabbed in Indianapolis and was arrested for its role in the incident.

The 38 -year -old American, who was the fifth choice in total of the 2009 NFL draft for the New York Jets, was in Indianapolis to comment on Sunday’s match between the Colts and Las Vegas Raiders for Fox Sports.

In a press release on Saturday, the Department of Metropolitan Police in Indianapolis said that it was investigating a “physical disturbance” involving two adult men “, which resulted in a man receiving lacerations and other injuries substitutes for injuries by stab”.

In a second press release, the police said that Sanchez had stayed at the hospital but had been arrested for “battery with injury, illegal entrance to a motor vehicle and public poisoning”.

During his five seasons with the jets, where he wore number six, Sanchez guided them to two consecutive appearances in the AFC championship match.

During his 10 -year career – which also included spells at the Eagles in Philadelphia, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders – he launched 15,357 yards with 86 affected and 89 interceptions.

After his retirement in 2019, he began a radio career with ESPN before moving to Fox two years later.
