Newsom to Sue Trump over California Guard Protecting ICE in Oregon

California Governor Gavin Newsom promised to continue President Donald Trump on Sunday about his decision to deploy the California National Guard in Oregon to protect federal officers from rioters in Portland.
The threat of Newsom occurred one day after a federal judge appointed Trump, judge Karen Immergut, prevented the president from deploying the Oregon National Guard to arrest the riots against American immigration and the application of customs (ICE).
The Oregon Public Radio reported: “This is a nation of constitutional law, no martial law,” she concluded. “The defendants have presented a range of arguments which, if accepted, risk blurring the border between the civil and military federal power – to the detriment of this nation.”
However, as journalist Julie Kelly observed, the Ministry of Justice had not had the opportunity to meet the injunction request before the Immergue judge issued it. The administration appeals to the decision.
Newsom published his threat to a press release on Sunday:
In response to an order from the Federal Court which blocked its attempt to federalize the Oregon National Guard, President Trump deploys 300 members of the California National Guard staff in Oregon. They are on the way there now. It is a breathtaking abuse of law and power. The Trump administration shamelessly attacks the rule of law itself and implements their dangerous words-ignoring the judicial orders and dealing with the judges, even those appointed by the president himself, as political opponents.
It is not a question of public security, it is a question of power. The commander -in -chief uses the American army as a political weapon against American citizens. We will take this fight in court, but the public cannot remain silent in the face of such reckless and authoritarian conduct by the President of the United States.
Newsom failed in his attempt to block Trump to federalize the California National Guard in a similar case earlier this year.
