A Long Island man is accused of beating his brother to death at his Inwood home, Nassau County police said Wednesday.

Anthony Iacomino, 46, was charged with second-degree murder in the killing of his brother, Joseph Iacomino, 52, police said in a news release.

Iacomino pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday, Newsday reported. He was ordered held without bail in the Nassau County Jail and is due back in court Thursday.

Officers went to a home in Inwood, just southeast of Kennedy Airport, around 5 p.m. Monday and found an unconscious man suffering from “visible blunt force trauma,” Nassau County police wrote in a news alert. The man, later identified as Joseph Iacomino, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined that a “domestic violent incident” had occurred at the residence and identified Anthony Iacomino as the killer. He was arrested at the scene, according to Nassau County police.

Police have not yet released further details about the cause of the altercation or the exact nature of Joseph Iacomino’s injuries.

The younger Iacomino was already facing a misdemeanor charge for obstructing someone’s breathing, according to Newsday. This victim has not been publicly named.

At his arraignment on that charge in August, Iacomino pleaded not guilty and was released on his own recognizance, the outlet reported. A temporary protection order was granted and he was due back in court on October 31.
