Trump might sell major weapons to Ukraine—but has questions first

Every day is TACO Tuesday with President Donald Trump, especially regarding his hot-cold relations with Ukraine and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
The latest revelation is that Trump is considering selling Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine. These are some of America’s most sophisticated long-range missiles, with a range of more than 1,500 miles. They are able to evade countermeasures by flying low and navigating across terrain rather than simply shooting and falling.

This is a major escalation for Trump, who seems to have realized only a few weeks ago that Russia is a “paper tiger“, or something that seems powerful but is actually weak. Former President Joe Biden and his overly cautious advisers never publicly considered sending Tomahawks to Ukraine. But Trump doesn’t care, and for once, that’s a good thing.
Yet this is Trump we are talking about. No one should be happy about anything until they see these missiles hitting targets deep inside Russia.
With the front lines mostly stalemate as drones make serious advances nearly impossible, the situation has become an economic war, with both sides striking key economic targets in the other’s territory. Although the Tomahawks alone will not force Russia to capitulate, they would allow Ukraine to inflict even more economic pain on Russian territory.
So what’s the problem? Trump has questions.
"I think I want to find out what they’re doing with them," he said Monday. “Where do they send them? I guess I should ask.”
They’d blow shit up, Donald. In Russia.
Now send them.
