Angel Reese to be first pro athlete to walk runway in Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
WNBA star Angel Reese will walk in next week’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 15 in a historic moment for the event, as Reese will become the first professional athlete to walk the iconic show.
“Stepping into a dream: from an angel to a Victoria Secret ANGEL,” Reese wrote on Instagram. “I finally have my wings. I’m going to walk the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for the first time, and it’s like destiny. Wings on, heels ready… Catch me on the catwalk.”
This is the latest off-court decision for Reese, who has become one of the biggest names in the WNBA in just two seasons in the league. She has already signed a number of brand deals, including a signature sneaker and clothing line with Reebok, and launched a podcast to begin building her presence as a voice off the court.
On the court, Reese took another step forward in her second season with Sky, averaging 14.7 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game while increasing her scoring efficiency to 53.7% true shooting in the 30 games she started. However, Reese made waves late in the season by calling on Sky’s front office to build a better team and give players a chance to compete after spending another year outside of the playoffs.
Reese received a half suspension for these comments, he then missed most of the final weeks of the season with what was considered a back injury. She apologized to his teammates for calling out the guards on the roster and saying the team needed “better players.”
While we wait for all this drama in Chicago to resolve and how Sky’s front office plans to respond to Reese’s criticism, she will continue to expand her profile off the court.
