EcoFlow Recalls 25,000 Delta Max 2000 Power Stations Over Fire and Burn Hazard — Here’s How to Fix Yours

EcoFlow is well known for its portable power stations And domestic battery backup options, with many of its products earning spots on our best lists. Unfortunately, not every product is a success and EcoFlow has issued a voluntary recall for approximately 25,030 units of its EcoFlow Delta Max 2000 (Model EFD310) portable power stations in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) due to the risk of fire. It’s not a power station that we’ve tested or recommended in the past, but it’s one of the company’s largest capacity models, allowing you to power a wide range of devices.
The good news is that the recall does not require you to return your power station. The problem can be completely fixed with a firmware update that you can do yourself.
Here’s how to do it.
What’s the problem?
According to the CPSC, the Delta Max 2000 power plant could overheat and ignite, posing a serious burn hazard and fire hazard to users and property. EcoFlow has received six reports of power plant fires resulting in property damage totaling more than $850,000.
Which portable power stations are affected?
Affected units were sold for approximately $1,600 on Costco.com, Amazon.com, and Ecoflow.com from July 2022 to May 2025. The affected model number, EFD310, is printed on the nameplate located on the bottom of the product. If you are not sure about the model, you can email EcoFlow customer service (deltamax2000@ecoflow.com) and provide photos of the power plant which will help you confirm. No other models are affected by the recall.
