Failed ‘Daily Show’ Host Faces Backlash After Stand-Up Bit Mocking Kirk’s Assassination – RedState

Failed “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah is facing backlash after his latest stand-up routine included a bit of what he thought was funny about the Charlie Kirk assassination.

In the YouTube clip, Noah addresses a crowd in New York at the Comedy Cellar about the murder of the Turning Point USA founder on the campus of Utah Valley University on September 10 by a suspected killer who authorities say was heavily influenced by left-wing ideology.

Noah, a South African “comedian,” found it funny that Kirk was killed by an assassin’s bullet while speaking about the Second Amendment.

Here is the disgusting clip from his show and the audience members’ actions.

Language warning:

“In the meantime, here are the actors […] themselves,” Noah said. “‘Don’t say anything about Charlie Kirk.’ I wasn’t going to say anything about him… about Charlie Kirk… ‘But don’t. There’s nothing funny about it.'”

“Ah, now you’ve tested me. I mean, isn’t there anything funny about that?” » he added, and the room burst into laughter. “I’m sure there’s something funny about that. The guy was shot while defending weapons. I’m not even writing this as a joke, as a human you have to admit that it’s an incongruous and funny thing to happen.”

Noah then makes the sound of a gun going off and hitting a person as he describes how Kirk was on stage speaking when he was killed.

“It would be like the captain of the Titanic giving an impassioned speech about icebergs right before it happened…” Noah continued, while trying to pretend that the two were funny and not funny.

A cafe that faced backlash after honoring Charlie Kirk has bad news for haters

After the clip was released, people were quick to condemn him.

“Left-wing ‘comedian’ Trevor Noah just said he found it ‘funny’ that Charlie Kirk was shot while defending guns,” one person wrote. “It’s the modern left.”

Another added: “Trevor Noah jokes about killing Charlie Kirk during his stand-up. These people are sick.”

While a third person wrote: “You have to be soulless to find anything funny about murder. Trevor Noah mocks the murder of Charlie Kirk, on behalf of those who say, ‘We need to ban guns or we’ll keep killing you.'”
