LEVERKUSEN, Germany (AP) — Bayer Leverkusen forward Malik Tillman will be out for two more weeks after returning from international duty with the United States because of a thigh injury.

The Bundesliga club said on Sunday that an examination in Leverkusen had determined the extent of the injury and layoff period.

Tillman, 23, felt a thigh cramp while training with the United States last Monday, causing him to miss the team’s friendly win over Australia and Leverkusen’s 4-3 away win over Mainz in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

“I hope it’s not a big problem,” US coach Mauricio Pochettino said of Tillman’s injury.
