Democrats blast Trump for his illegal plot to steal from taxpayers
President Donald Trump is criticized for his attempted corruption for the Department of Justice to give him $230 million in taxpayer money because he is angry about his various investigations and criminal charges.
Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland called Trump called it a “classic impeachment offense” during an interview with Crooked Media on Wednesday. “The Founders feared that presidents like you would one day be tempted to use your powers to steal American taxpayer dollars. That’s why they wrote a very simple rule into the Constitution called the National Emoluments Clause,” the letter said.

But poll shows that Trump is so unpopular that his party’s corrupt gerrymandering plans may not be enough. And if Democrats win the House next November, Raskin will use his subpoena power in the case.
“We want the whole paper trail,” Raskin told the New Republic. “We are looking for any correspondence, memoranda or recordings of conversations between the White House and the Department of Justice. If we had the power to subpoena, we would take care of it.”
Even Republicans know that Trump’s payment system looks bad.
