Beeno Is a Mac App That Puts Your External Display in a Desktop Window
The reference to notes on your laptop while you use it to make a presentation is always annoying. If you reflect your screens, there is no way to see your notes without showing them to your audience, which is not ideal. But the use of several screens is also a little clumsy – you must move your mouse from one screen to another whenever you want to advance the slides, which can discourage you.
There is no perfect solution to this problem, but a Mac application called Beeno is getting closer. This free and open source application of the developer Uli Kaufmann places your second screen in a window on your main screen. The basic idea is that you will be able to see the presentation on your laptop without having to turn around and look at the display behind you. This means that you can see the slides in front of you, instead of having to turn around to watch the presentation screen. It also means that you can see and scroll through your notes And Take control of the presentation, all on a single screen.
The use of the application is simple: just run it when two screens are connected. You will need to provide appropriate authorizations before everything starts to work, and a window of your main screen will appear automatically, showing you everything on the secondary screen. The window is scalable, which means that you can resize it to adapt next to your notes or everything you need to reference during the presentation. If you need to switch which display is in the window, you can right -click on the menu bar and choose another.
