IDF destroys hundred-meter long tunnel, rocket depot in northern Gaza
Two operations were carried out in northern Gaza and dismantled Hamas infrastructure, while infiltration operations in the West Bank managed to arrest Hamas members in Nablus.
The Israeli army destroyed a Hamas compound in Shejaia, northern Gaza, containing launchers and rockets, while a tunnel several hundred meters long was located and destroyed in Jabaliya, the army announced on Tuesday.
“Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect, soldiers of the IDF 11th Brigade have identified a compound containing launchers, rockets and launching positions belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the center of the Shejaia region, northern Gaza,” the IDF said.
“An underground tunnel several hundred meters long and several tens of meters deep was located in the Jabaliya region and dismantled by the soldiers of the 188th brigade, in collaboration with the soldiers of Yahalom,” the press release also specifies.
In another operation, soldiers from the elite Duvdevan unit, under the leadership of the Shin Bet (Israeli security agency), arrested two terrorists who were hiding in the neighborhoods of the city of Nablus.

“Two terrorists wanted and identified with the Hamas terrorist organization in the Balata camp and the village of Masachen in Sha’biyah,” the military said.
Hezbollah is rearming at an alarming rate
On the northern front, a classified report shared by the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee said Hezbollah’s rate of rearmament was faster than the IDF’s current attacks against it.
The report said Hezbollah is building up its forces at a faster rate than the Israeli army can hit it, with the blows inflicted in the last war beginning to fade as the organization rebuilds its forces.
